It is applied under the supervision of the dentist and whitening on the teeth is observed immediately in 1-3 sessions. At-Home teeth whitening (home bleaching) is a method applied at home by the patients themselves. Teeth is whitened in a longer time by placing a whitening agent in the dental tray that is custom made for the patient. The whitening agent is used for 7-15 days.

Can the teeth be whitened after root canal treatment?

The teeth that are discolored after root canal treatment can be whitened. The whitening treatment applied to the teeth that have lost their vitality (devitalized) with root canal treatment is performed by the dentist by applying bleaching materials placed inside the tooth. This method of bleaching can be repeated for 2-3 sessions.

Does Whitening Gel Work on Porcelain Restorations?

It is not possible to change the color of porcelain restorations with bleaching. If existing restorations are to be renewed or there will be new restorations in the aesthetic zone (in the anterior region) in the mouth, it would be better to complete the teeth whitening process beforehand.
